Reliability Engineer

Reliability Engineer

Job Description

Perform analyses for digital, analog, or RF designs, such as Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) to identify and mitigate single point failures; Worst Case Analysis (WCCA/WCA) to ensure electrical circuit function over worst case tolerances, mission duration, thermal, and radiation environment; Worst Case Timing Analysis (WCTA) to ensure timing requirements are met; Electronic Parts Stress Analysis (PSA) to increase component lifetime by the reduction of applied stress; Reliability Predictions to assess compliance to numerical requirements; Limited Life Analysis (LLA) to ensure components meet mission life requirements; and Single-Events Effects Analysis (SEEA) to ensure mitigation of radiation effects for the mission. Perform reliability assessment, modeling, prediction trade studies, system evaluations, failure reporting/analysis, and corrective action.

Typical duties: Prepares product reliability plans, establishes requirements and monitors reliability programs; develops reliability trade studies; performs and reviews reliability analyses; assesses performance with respect to requirements; evaluates effectiveness of the failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action implementation; prepares reports; supports logistic activities and reporting; supports system and design teams; establishes reliability models and utilizes models for systems and subsystems analysis..

Required Skills

  • BS with equivalent course work in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Physics, or an equivalent field.
  • 15+ Years of experience in electronic systems reliability activities.
  • Knowledge of TOR-level reliability requirements is preferred.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to pass a National Agency Check
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Systems Engineer

Systems Reliability Engineering

Job Description:

  • Perform various system level reliability analyses for multiple projects, review these analyses and generate relevant documentation in accordance with standard aerospace industry or DOD procedures.
  • Develop new reliability analysis methods or techniques, and suggest improvements to existing methods in order to improve the overall System Reliability products.
  • Support the development of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques for system reliability.
  • Experience with System Reliability analysis methods such as Fault Tree Analysis, FMECA, Probabilistic Risk Assessment, Root Cause Analysis, etc.
  • Perform or review reliability analysis and prepare reports. Assess performance with respect to reliability requirements for systems, subsystems and assemblies.
  • Conduct reliability design analyses for board and box level digital, analog, mixed-signal, and RF electronics.

Required Skills:

  • Requires a BS degree with equivalent course work in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Physics, or an equivalent field
  • 15+ Years of experience in electronic systems reliability activities.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to pass a National Agency Check
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Experience in Statistics or Probability theory or analysis, including Bayesian Statistical Analysis.
  • Understanding of PSpice circuit simulation analysis tool.
  • General knowledge of spacecraft design principles and operational characteristics.
  • Experience and skills must include digital, analog, or RF design and analysis, such as Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Worst Case Analysis (WCA), Electronic Parts Stress Analysis (PSA), and Single-Events Effects Analysis (SEEA).

FPGA Verification Engineer

FPGA Verification Engineer

Job Description

  • Design and implement verification plans for IP level, chip level, and board level environments
  • Develop RTL Test Benches in UVM or System Verilog
  • Develop self-checking test benches and unit tests for high speed digital systems
  • Develop Built-In-Test (BIT) and support of debug and system integration activities
  • Develop scripts using Tcl or Python for regression testing
  • Develop BFMs and IP for reuse in multiple projects

Required Skills

  • Expertise in constrained random testing, assertion based verification, clock domain crossing verification, and code coverage
  • Expertise in UVM and OVM is a plus
  • Expertise with Xilinx and Microsemi FPGAs and SoCs, including FPGA tool suites such as Xilinx Vivado, ISE and Libero for Microsemi.
  • Expertise with AXI, I2C, CAN, PCIe, Ethernet, DSP, DDR2/3, SpaceWire is a plus
  • Expertise with RF sampling and SW defined radio and mixed-signal verification including discrete time domain (z-domain) analysis is a plus
  • Expertise to develop requirements flow down system/subsystem/box/board levels is a plus
  • Expertise with Mentor Questa Simulator and System Verilog is a plus

FPGA Design Engineer

FPGA Design Engineer

Job description :

  • Design digital hardware including FPGA development for space-based, high reliability electronic systems, SOC architectures, digital filters, image processing, and communication interfaces/protocols.
  • Design Xilinx, RTG4, ProASIC3, RTAX FPGAs and Xilinx SOC applications, using System Verilog , VHDL, C/C++, bare metal programming, and low level serial port device drivers.
  • Design FPGAs for instrument command and data handling external component interfaces, instrument subsystem control, onboard data reduction, and interface to embedded processors and single board computers.
  • Design and implement test fixtures including test plans for both chip-level and board level environments and create reusable circuits that can be utilized across multiple projects.

Required skills :

  • BS Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field
  • Expertise in VHDL/Verilog and System Verilog
  • Expertise in digital systems, embedded systems, and FPGA development
  • Expertise in testing and debugging FPGAs in a mixed hardware/software environment
  • Expertise in OVM/UVM, and Modelsim/Questa simulator is a plus.
  • Expertise with cPCI, Ethernet, DSP, 1553, VPX, SpaceWire, high speed serial, and SPI is a plus.
  • Expertise with software engineering using Python is a plus.
  • Expertise with UVM, regression testing, and automated testing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Mentor Graphics DxD, Hyperlynx for schematic design and SI analysis is a plus
